a question

by cas_help on 01 Aug 2005 01:43 am

could anyone please explain to me whether time spent in student council or french club meetings would count for creativity or service hours? ive seen on some websites that this would apply for service, but my CAS coordinator said creativity would also apply. im just slightly confused, and any clarifications would be welcome.

thanks!

In our school student council would have counted as service and french club as creativity, if this info helps.

CAS Forms and Letters

by Belle on 28 Aug 2005 10:24 pm

Hi I have a question regarding CAS hours...I know that both the supervisor and I have to sign the sheet provided by IB, but do I also need to present their letter which contains the hours I have done? How will the IB people know that we have done all 50 hours of volunteering? Someone could just write in the numbers after the supervisor has filled in the back sheet of the CAS form..

Please let me know as soon as possible...

Thanks,

Belle

Your supervisor just writes a letter saying you've done it. No specific check is done by the IB. At least, that was what the system was in my days

When you say "just writes a letter", do you mean that the supervisor just has to sign the form given to us by IB?

Thanks,

Belle

Hmmm, I think so...but please, please don't take my word for it. My supervisor I think wrote a letter to the CAS and also sent my self-evaluation forms....but I really, really don't know.
